A curious catstropod from the margins of an illuminated manuscript.

Old manuscripts were filled with all manner of strange and wonderful creatures, such as this polite-looking snail cat from 15th century France. This is one of my first & most beloved marginalia embroidery designs.

• 90% Cotton, 10% Polyester

🧵 CARE 🧵

• Machine wash cold, inside out
• Gentle cycle recommended
• Tumble dry low or hang to dry
  

Do NOT iron directly on embroidery! If needed, use a steamer to smooth out the garment—light steaming can also help relax any minor puckering around the embroidery and keep the fabric looking fresh without damaging the stitching.
